The goal of an ISF calibration is to adjust the settings of your TV or video display as closely as possible to the NTSC specification, so that you get the best video reproduction, or rather as close to the original as possible.

The problem with most new TVs is that they have all the user operable picture controls turned way up in order to stand out on the showroom floor. Settings at this level do not conform to anything near the NTSC standard and can reduce the life of the TV.

ISF calibration adjusts the white level, black level, color, tint and sharpness settings and will give a huge benefit over factory settings.
